GARRAWI LOOKOUT

Public BBQ

Garrawi Lookout near Lane Cove offers a modest waterside retreat with picnic area providing pleasant glimpses of the water through established trees, though the Sydney University Rowing building dominates the immediate vista. Families gravitate toward the playground equipment and barbecue facilities, while the connecting walking paths lead adventurous visitors to the historic Thyne Reid boat shed and Burns Bay Reserve. The abundant parking proves surprisingly convenient. While the water views may be partially obscured and the river's swimming prospects questionable, the location delivers a peaceful respite from urban bustle, particularly for those seeking a quiet family gathering spot within easy reach of Lane Cove's attractions.
